Graduate from Paraguay comes full circle to conduct SEK Symphony
As a child growing up in Paraguay, Ramiro Miranda played in a youth orchestra directed by the visiting conductor of the Southeast Kansas symphony — an ensemble based at Pitt State and comprised of students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members. As an adult, he’s come full circle: he’s been chosen as the symphony's new conductor.

Musical artists from around the world are heading to Pittsburg this year as part of the long-running annual Solo & Chamber Music Series, bringing unique listening opportunities to Pitt State students, staff, and faculty, as well as to the general public.

Ticket sales begin Aug. 18 for Broadway shows at the Bicknell Center
Tickets sales for two popular national acts making a stop in Pittsburg this season have begun, at a 15 percent discount. Performances of Broadway’s “Annie” and “STOMP!” are planned for the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts.
